Shading to manage light & glare

hello17979

This week's focus on #GlobalShadingDay is a great opportunity to highlight the impact of glare.

Glare can be controlled with shading without losing the benefits of natural light which is known to support our health and wellbeing.

The position and strength of the sun in our sky is always changing and excessive glare can cause headaches and discomfort.

On a sunny day there can be 100,000 lux and the recommended guidance for indoor work spaces such as offices is 500 lux.
